Private Retreat

THE WHOLE PLACE TO YOURSELF

Exclusive use

Slow down off the beaten path

For a few days, Bliss & Stars is entirely yours. 1,350 hectares of pristine wilderness in the Doring valley, with no other guests on the land.

There is no phone signal here, and little reason to look at a screen when the alternative is the light coming off the mountains in the late afternoon, the quiet, and a night sky dark enough to actually see the stars.
You walk if you want to walk, sleep when you want to sleep, and eat well.

And the land you have to yourself is not empty: eighteen rock art sites left by the San people thousands of years ago, plants that grow nowhere else, and leopards that cross it mostly without being seen.

The place

Remote and private

We believe that travel is about so much more than just sleeping in a different bed and eating away from home. It’s about regeneration, breaking free from your daily habits and routines, and fully immersing yourself in new experiences. That’s exactly what you’ll find at your private retreat at Bliss & Stars.

You’ll have the whole place to yourself, so you can truly relax and experience the privacy and solitude you crave. Whether you want to dance at sunrise, take in the fresh mountain air, soak up the starlight, or explore new body and mind practices, we’ve got you covered.

Your hosts

Hosted by the people who built it

You are not handed keys and left with staff. Here you get the two people who built the place themselves and named it after what they each came looking for.

Daria Rasmussen

Founder & Owner

Daria spent twenty years in corporate, interested in the human mind for the usual reasons: how to make it faster, sharper, more productive. The interest outlasted the reasons. What held her was the harder question underneath, whether a mind can really change or whether most self-improvement is just rearranging the furniture.

Heine Rasmussen

Founder & Owner

Heine has spent his life looking up. The natural world and the night sky have been his fascination for as long as he can remember. Most evenings he is out with the telescope, introducing the sky to whoever is willing to stay awake.
