TERMS AND CONDITIONS
To offer the most suitable and affordable services, Bliss and Stars apply the following terms and conditions. By booking our retreats, workshops, or coaching sessions, you state that you have read and agree to the following terms and conditions.
We know that reading legal terms and conditions can sometimes be a bore, but it is important for all our guests and us. Please contact us if you would like more information.

1. CANCELLATION POLICY FOR RETREATS, WORKSHOPS, COURSES AND BURSARY SPOT
1.1. Registration for workshops, courses, and regular retreats is binding when you receive a confirmation email.
Cancellation more than 35 days before the start: 100% refund. Cancellation less than 35 days before the start: no refund.
Guests are asked to take out travel insurance to cover any cancellation costs and fees incurred.
1.2. Coaching session cancellations must be made at least 12 hours before the session. Sessions before 9 am have a 100% cancellation fee if canceled after 8 pm the night before. Exceptions may be made at Bliss & Stars’ discretion.
1.3. Workshops, courses, and retreats booked at discounted rates cannot be canceled. Discounts cannot be applied retroactively.
1.4. Retreats can be rescheduled with at least 14 days’ notice, subject to availability. Rescheduled retreats are non-refundable, cannot be changed again, and must be completed within 6 months of the original start date. Price differences must be covered by the guest. Exceptions may be made at Bliss & Stars’ discretion.
1.5. Retreats booked at last-minute discounted rates cannot be rescheduled.
1.5.1. Retreats booked at standard rates cannot be rescheduled to take advantage of later discounts.
1.6. No refunds for dissatisfaction or unforeseen circumstances after arrival.
1.7. Gift vouchers must be used within 12 months of the issue date and are non-refundable.
1.8. No refunds for no-shows or unused days due to early check-out or late check-in. Bliss & Stars is not responsible for flight delays or cancellations.
1.8.1. Late check-ins (on a second day) may be allowed at Bliss & Stars’ discretion.
1.9. All cancellations must be in writing and sent to: hello@blissandstars.com.
2.0. A 10% admin fee will be charged on any refunds for retreats, workshops, or personal sessions.
2. BURSARY SPOT CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING
2.1.1. Bursary spots cannot be rescheduled or transferred.
2.1.2. Contributions are refundable if cancellation is made at least 30 days before the retreat start.
2.1.3. Cancellations less than 30 days before the start are non-refundable. These funds will be placed into a dedicated bursary fund for future participants.
2.1.4. By applying for and accepting a bursary spot, you agree to these terms.
3. PAYMENT TERMS & METHODS
3.1. A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. Full payment is due 6 weeks before the retreat. Bookings within 8 weeks require full payment. Late payments may result in cancellation without refund.
3.2. Prices are listed on the website.
3.3. Payment methods:
Cash (in-person coaching sessions only)
Credit card (Visa or MasterCard) via Payfast
EFT (local or international) via Payfast
3.4. Clients are responsible for managing recurring payments.
4. ARRIVAL RESPONSIBILITIES
4.1. No-Show Policy
Failure to arrive without notice results in full deposit forfeiture. Rescheduling may be offered at Bliss & Stars’ discretion, subject to availability.
4.2. Pre-Arrival Communication
Guests must review arrival instructions. Contact us at least 24 hours before arrival if clarification is needed.
4.3. Limitation of Liability
Bliss & Stars is not liable for delays or missed arrivals due to misunderstood instructions, drained phone batteries, or similar issues. Costs are the guest’s responsibility.
4.4. Advice for Preparation
Charge all devices and bring backups (portable chargers, offline maps, or printed directions).
5. DISCOUNTS
5.1. Discounted rates are at Bliss & Stars’ discretion and follow a separate cancellation policy (see 1.3).
5.2. Discounted rates must be prepaid and are non-refundable unless Bliss & Stars cancels.
6. TRANSPORT TO BLISS & STARS
Guests are responsible for their own transportation. Bliss & Stars may assist in connecting attendees for ride-sharing but accepts no liability for any accidents, delays, or losses during travel.
7. PRIVATE RETREATS | EXCLUSIVE USE TERMS
7.1. Bookings > 180 days: 10% refundable deposit, then 50% non-refundable (150 days prior), then 40% non-refundable (90 days prior).
7.2. Bookings within 180 days: 20% non-refundable deposit, 80% non-refundable balance due 90 days before arrival.
7.3. Bookings within 90 days: 100% non-refundable payment required.
7.4. Late or incorrect payments may result in cancellation of booking.
7.5. All payments are non-refundable. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
7.6. All cancellations must be in writing (hello@blissandstars.com).
7.7. Client requests for changes must be in writing. Approval is at Bliss & Stars’ discretion. Leaving early does not entitle clients to refunds.
7.8. Bliss & Stars may make changes or cancel bookings. Minor changes: alternative arrangements offered. Substantial changes: client may accept alternatives or cancel. Refunds will exclude reasonable expenses.
8. COPYRIGHTS
The Bliss & Stars trademark may not be used without written consent.
All materials (images, videos, exercises, etc.) are for personal use only and may not be shared, copied, or resold.
9. CONFIDENTIALITY
9.1. All information shared is confidential except where there is risk of harm, unlawful activity, or legal obligation to disclose.
9.2. Personal data remains confidential unless required by law or explicitly permitted by you.
9.3. Guests experiences may be referred to anonymously in promotional material. You may withdraw permission at any time.
10. GUARANTEES
Bliss & Stars does not guarantee specific outcomes. Results vary based on individual efforts and external factors.
Somatic experiencing and mindfulness programs are not therapy or psychiatry.
Bliss & Stars may stop processes if deemed unsuitable for issues at hand.
None of the programs replace medical or psychological treatment.
11. LIABILITY
Clients certify they are physically and mentally fit to participate. By booking, clients accept responsibility and release Bliss & Stars from liability.
12. FORCE MAJEURE
Unavoidable circumstances (e.g. pandemics, natural disasters, terrorism, government restrictions) are subject to standard cancellation terms. Vouchers may be provided at Bliss & Stars’ discretion.
If Bliss & Stars cannot fulfill bookings due to extraordinary circumstances, vouchers may also be issued.
