WHO WE ARE

Bliss & Stars (Pty) Ltd operates blissandstars.com and all associated retreat programmes. We are the responsible party for personal information collected through this website, as defined under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), South Africa, and applicable international privacy legislation.

We collect personal information when you contact us, submit a booking enquiry, make a booking, or sign up for our newsletter. This includes:

- Postal address and country
- Phone number
- Health information relevant to your participation (dietary requirements, medical conditions, fitness level) — shared voluntarily

Payment details are processed by our payment gateway (Payfast) and are not stored by Bliss & Stars.

We also collect certain information automatically when you visit the website — including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and session duration — for analytics and site improvement purposes.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

- Communicate with you about your retreat or session
- Send our newsletter, if you have opted in (you may unsubscribe at any time)

Newsletter communications are managed through Flodesk; their privacy policy governs how they handle subscriber data.

We work with a limited number of third-party providers who may receive your information only as needed to perform their services:

Data retention. We retain personal information for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Booking records are retained for a minimum of 5 years for accounting and legal purposes.

We apply industry-standard practices to protect your personal data. Access is limited to staff and service providers who require it to fulfil their role. While we take data security seriously, no internet transmission is entirely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
